Ingredients for 5 :
1kg potatoes (firm flesh)
1L liquid cream
2 cloves garlic
salt and pepper
Peel and slice the potatoes thinly. Press the garlic.
Layer into a casserole dish, alternating layers of potato slices, cream, garlic, salt and pepper, until all ingredients are in.
Finish with a layer of creal, salt and pepper.
Bake at least an hour at 160-180°C. The longer the baking, and the lower the temperature, the more tender the potatoes will be.
Baked 1h30 at 150°C, the texture and tastes are encouraging. However, I made this with heavy cream, and it separated and resulted in a fatty mess! Next time, do not replace liquid cream with heavy cream.
